Schaalman Student Voices

Schaalman Senior Voices offers an opportunity for healthcare students (future health care providers) to better understand what matters most to older adults while seeking care. Schaalman Senior Voices has been integrated into the Rush University Community Health Mentor program where over 700 students each year learn from a member in the community about Age-Friendly Health Systems and other key components of offering patient centered care.

Schaalman Senior Voices Curriculum

Schaalman Senior Voices curriculum activities are designed to provide learners with the experience, knowledge, and resources to understand what matters to older adults, the intersectionality of aging, and the components of an Age-Friendly Health System. These learning activities that can be incorporated into a variety of educational settings, including healthcare, schools, places of worship, and community-based organizations.
